Practice Speaking: Re-tell lecture ID: #6102 Long Physically Active R
Instructions
It's increasing challenge to help people become more physically active and remain physically active in this century world that we live in. So, it's not unusual for people to actually come straight into an exercise programme and find it very easy to keep going. Certainly short term changes of habits might be quite clear but looking at a year or so later we don't really have the answers to how we keep people motivated in the long term. Our environment is certainly contriving against us to be active, we're short of time, we often don't allocate resources or money to doing exercise programmes and so there's a whole range of other things working against us being physically active. So it's not common at all the people to be physically active straight away. I think many people feel that they need to do more exercise but then the challenge is how to motivate themselves, and sometimes we all need a little bit of support so there are some key people who can help us. There are some professionals exercise professionals who can just get us going and give us that little bit of a push, but for the most part we find it difficult because we've got families we've got worse and increasingly labour saving devices that allow us to have a less physically active lifestyle.
