Medium Trust R
Transcript:
Trust is an important part of business and important part of what we do in the business school classroom. Our ethics courses focused on thinking about how ethics and business go together. I'm not plays itself out in business in a couple of different levels. First of all, it works at the level of how businesses function together certainly one of the things we've learned from the recent financial crisis around the world is the important role that trust plays in making sure that business functions well. People's lives the made better by them. In the absence of trust creates really frightening consequences. At the same time, trust matters to organisations and to their individual reputations they desire to want to try to work for a company or buy a product from them depends in a significant way on the level of trust that people have in that organisation. Finally, it also matters at the individual level for people inside the company with the ability for people to work together with confidence that people next to them are actually going to look after them and not take advantage of him and then importantly in terms of thinking about leadership if leaders are going to be effective, people have to trust them.
