REPORT ON METHODS USED BY STUDENTS FOR GROUP STUDIES The primary objective of the report is to outline the data presented in the graph regarding three different methods -: Face-to-Face, Online and Both(Mixed) used by students to study together between year 2010 and 2024. GENERAL OVERVIEW Overall, Face-to-face studying saw a sharp fall throughout the period and on the other hand, online and mixed studying experienced a gradual rise. DETAILED ANALYSIS In 2010, Face-to-Face group studies were the most dominant one with more 80% of the students, whereas, online and mixed method together had less than 20% of the students. The main reason behind this was that students used to meet at the library to study together and it felt more natural to them. But, gradually as the technology got more advanced video conferencing was introduced and smartphones became more common we saw a rise in use of online and mixed method, consequently, a fall in face-to-face meetings was seen. In 2024, online method had more than 40% students and mixed method had more than 20%, so, In person study lost its majority as till then many collaborative study apps were introduced and it made more sense according to students to use online and mixed studying. In next few years we will see a drop in face-to-face study, whereas, online and mixed will continue to grow and online method will become the most popular choice. CONCLUSION The data clearly indicates a structural shift from Face-to-Face studying to online studying. The growing technology and access will continue to choosing online and mixed methods.
