Practice Listening: Highlight Correct Summary ID: #46488 Medium Copenhagen
Instructions
I was fortunate enough to have spent some time there very recently and it has been an epiphany. I've been talking about it all the time, but it is laughing and giggling, because I've been going on and on and on about Copenhagen. Since it's not only, it's not only that the fact that since 2015, there is a larger number of bicycles entering the centre of Kobe Hagen Vankar that's for example. So, it's not only there are fewer cars, because bicycles have taken over. It's like the the whole city has a a lot more humane vibe to it. It's like and you realise that, especially when you ride the bicycle. So, the first couple of days of my visit, I was taking taxis everywhere. A waste of time because traffic is horrible, but no one is concerned about traffic there, because it's like you want a car? OK, fair enough. Have it then, be stuck in traffic. It's amazingly humane. It's really good for social connectedness. It's a lot easier to interact with people on a bicycle. It's good for businesses Franklin, because it's a lot easier to go shopping if you're on the bicycle compared to being in the car all the time in the city centre. So, I think we should be when we talk to politicians, because it's the politicians who will eventually make the decisions to make the environment more conducive to cycling and the environment more conducive to physical activity is we should be emphasising these benefits that are well-beyond the health benefits for cycling. We're talking about societal benefits. We're talking about economic benefits perhaps.
