Every  object  pulls  on  every  other  object  with  an    force  called  gravity.  This  concept  was  not  fully  understood  until  Isaac  Newton  published  the    of  his  three  laws  of  motion.  Over  300  years  ago,  Newton  clearly    this  invisible  force  of  gravity.  The  strength  of  the  force  is  determined  by  distance  and  mass.  For  example,  the  Earth  and  the  Moon    each  other  through  gravitational  pull,  but  the  Earth  exerts  a  stronger  force  on  the  Moon  than  distant  planets  like  the  Jupiter  does.
