Instructions
Although    it    was    known    as    the    Spanish    flu,    the    virus    that    caused    the    influenza    pandemic    of    191819    was    international    in    every    way.    Its    first    victims    were    residents    of    a    military    fort    in    Kansas,    USA.    and    the    virus    itself    was  the  result  of  a    genetic    mutation    which    happened    in    China.    At    a    point    in    time    when    almost    the    entire    world    was    at    war,    the    virus    found    an    easy    opportunity    to    spread    vast    distances    with  .    In    fact,    speed    was    one    of    its    main    features.    Death    would    occur    hours    of    infection.    In    less    than    eighteen    months,    over    one-third    of    the    entire    world    had    influenza.    It    has    been    estimated    that    deaths    caused    by    the    Spanish    flu    may    have    been    as    high    as    100    million,    which    makes    it    for    more    deaths    than    both    world    wars    combined.
