CELPIP Practice Reading: Reading Correspondence ID: #61061 Easy A Cafe Writes to Its Supplier

Read the following message.

Dear Rosa,

I have reviewed the new coffee price list you sent. The increase will make our usual monthly order more expensive, but I would prefer to keep the same blend. Customers regularly ask for it, and changing the coffee without warning could cost us more than the saving.

Instead of ordering forty bags at once, could we receive twenty at the beginning of the month and twenty two weeks later? We are short of storage space while the back room is being repaired. I understand the smaller deliveries may carry an extra charge, so please include that in the quotation before we confirm anything.

We do not need new cups or sugar this month. Last month's delivery left us with enough of both. However, please add six boxes of the paper filters we normally use. We opened our last box yesterday.

Our back entrance will be unavailable during the repairs. The driver should use the front door before we open at eight, and call the cafe if there is a problem. Please do not leave bags on the pavement, even if a staff member is delayed.

Could you send the revised quotation by Friday? I can approve it that afternoon. If splitting the delivery is too costly, we may arrange temporary storage at our other branch rather than change suppliers.

Regards,
Evan
