Introduction The primary objective of this report is to outline the objective of the data presented in the graph regarding the type of meal people in the UK prefer as thier main meal between the years 1985 and 2025. Overview Overall, home cooked meal sees the biggest drop in this period, and on the other hand, meal in fast food restaurant experience the highest increase. Main features In 1970, 70% of the people preferred home cooked meal and it dropped to less than 40% in 2025. As people got busy with thier work they do not have time to prepare thier own meals. Takeaway /Street food was almost 20% in 1985 and remained consistent till 2015 then dropped near 10% in 2025 as nowdays home delivery options are widely avaiable and are more convenient. Meal in fast food restaurant and home delivery from fast food restaurants became popular with time as they both started from almost 0% in 1985 and rose to near 20% each as these options saves time and are pretty convenient. Lastly, meal in traditional restaurant went from almost 0% in 1985 to more than 10% in 2025, but, it have not grown enough as it takes too much time and people prefer saving time nowadays. In future, fast food delivey to home will rise as it is the most convenient way and more technology will be developed making it more accessible for all. Home cooked meal are going to gradually decline overtime and other 3- takeaway, meal in traditional restaurant and meal in fast food restaurant are going to remain stable as there is nothing new which can be done to improve thier proportions.
