Overview It is immediately apparent that social media had the highest increase in the proportion between the period and radio had the highest fall between the same period. Main features In 1985, radio was responsible for 50% of the source and 40% used television. At that time, news websites and social media were not established so they had 0% contribution and the last 10% was of newspaper. But, as the technology evolved and more option of sources of news came up and people started moving toward newer options as they were more convinient and faster. The highest proportion recorded was in 2005 of televison of more than 50%. Gradually, radio started falling and went from 50% to less than 20% in between the years 1985 and 2025. Similarly, television peaked in 2005 to more than 50% but then fell to less than 40% by the end. Newspaper fluctuated between 5% and 10%, whereas, news websites and social media saw a increase from 0% to 20% and more than 20%, respectively. In future, it is predicted that social media will grow to near 60% of the proportion as people find it more convenient and access to mobile phone is increasing day by day. News website will remain stable at 20%. But, other 3- radio, newspaper and televison will experience a fall as these are outdated and least convenient options.
