The status of digital art compared with traditional art is often debated because of differences in medium and production. Nevertheless, I strongly agree that digital art is as valuable, since artistic worth is determined by creativity, meaning, and cultural impact rather than physical materials. Digital works can therefore achieve depth and originality equal to painting or sculpture.

One major reason for this equivalence is that digital art requires comparable, and sometimes greater, skill. Artists must apply composition, colour theory, and visual storytelling while also mastering sophisticated software. For instance, concept artists in film and gaming design immersive worlds that influence audiences worldwide, demonstrating substantial aesthetic and cultural value.

Another argument is that digital art broadens access and innovation within the art world. Unlike traditional works limited to physical galleries, digital pieces can be shared instantly and experienced globally. Some critics claim that easy reproduction reduces authenticity; however, originality arises from creative intention, just as photography and printmaking retain artistic legitimacy.

In conclusion, digital art deserves equal recognition because it demands genuine expertise and contributes meaningfully to contemporary culture. Although the medium differs from canvas or stone, the expressive purpose remains consistent. Artistic value should therefore be assessed by impact and imagination rather than by whether art exists on a screen or in a gallery.
