Many young people nowadays are imitating celebrities from sports and movies, and in my opinion, this trend is generally good. I firmly believe that heavy media coverage of famous movie stars and athletes shapes the behaviour of children and youth to a remarkable extent.

Admittedly, some role models set a bad example, yet the majority of celebrities encourage young people to work hard and to chase noble goals. In my own experience, watching disciplined athletes and dedicated actors has motivated countless young students around me to practise their craft every single day. For instance, when my younger cousin began imitating a famous footballer, his devotion to sports improved his fitness and his focus at school. Moreover, popular movie stars and popstars often champion charitable causes, and this good behaviour inspires their young followers to volunteer and to help people in need. Furthermore, admiring successful celebrities teaches youth that fame usually arrives only after years of relentless effort.

Admittedly, the negative side of celebrity worship does exist, because a few reckless stars promote bad habits that harm impressionable children. However, I generally believe that young people are clever enough to copy the good traits of their role models while ignoring the harmful ones. Clearly, the loss of privacy is the heavy price of fame, yet most actors and athletes accept that their private lives will rarely enjoy peace of mind.

Ultimately, from my own experience, the imitation of hard-working celebrities gives young people a powerful role model and a positive point of view. Therefore, I firmly agree that youth copying disciplined sports stars and talented movie actors is far more good than bad.
