Practice Listening: Summarize Spoken Text ID: #50880 Medium Ocean Environment
Instructions
We should find potential solutions to pollution issues of ocean environment. This is not just a suggestion, but a necessity for the survival of our planet's largest ecosystem. The scale of the problem is vast. Environmental scientists have researched on the damage that people have done to the ocean such as fish and coral problems and plastic problem. However, we must also confront a less visible but equally dangerous threat. We should also focus on the heat which could lead to future sea level rise. Climate change, driven by greenhouse gas emissions, is warming the ocean, acidifying its waters, and melting polar ice, which poses an existential risk to coastal communities worldwide. It is not enough to simply slow the damage; we must actively heal the ocean. We should reduce human footprints on ocean and try to restore the largest living space on the earth. This means creating more marine protected areas, enforcing sustainable fishing practices to allow fish populations to recover.
