The mosquito is an electronic device, which has been talked about a lot in recent years. Did you know that there are some very high pitch sounds that only young people can hear? Well, this electronic device is a kind of alarm that makes a high pitch sound that only people under the age of 25 can hear. Shops and department stores have been using it outside their front doors to stop young people from gathering in large groups for long periods of time. The teenagers soon move away because they can’t stand the noise that the alarm makes, but the customers that the shops want to attract aren’t affected by the noise at all. Now in my view, this device goes against a young person’s human rights. I mean, it could have long-term effects on their hearing. The problem here is not that young people hang around in groups outside shops. It’s that young people feel they don’t have anywhere cheap to go to make friends. So, shouldn’t we focus our attention on that? And spend our time and money creating better entertainment facilities for all young people to use.
