That could still take a huge load off physical copies and give students reliable access when they're studying off campus. Sophie (Student) Exactly, but that brings up staffing. Who's going to scan and upload everything, especially if demand grows? It might require dedicated staff or student assistants. Otherwise, we risk delays or errors in the digitisation process. Ms. Wallace (Librarian) That's a fair concern. If we prioritise high demand materials say, those checked out most frequently we can make the process manageable. I'd propose a trial with a limited set of courses while we assess how much staff time it really takes. Ryan (Student) And what about the digital platform? We'd need a place students can log in securely and access the files preferably something that integrates with our existing learning system. That way it's streamlined and doesn't confuse people with new logins. Sophie (Student) Also, we could monitor how often each file is accessed. If some materials barely get viewed, that helps us know what's worth digitising long term. We need to make sure the effort pays off in actual student use. Ms. Wallace (Librarian) Agreed. I'll coordinate with IT and legal to identify copyright-safe materials and a suitable platform. We'll digitise only select high-demand resources this semester, track access data, and document staff hours involved. Then we can revisit the plan next term based on real results.
