Would it be possible to adjust staffing rosters temporarily maybe offer weekend shifts to those who prefer flexible hours or extra pay? Mr Porter (Librarian) We've done that before for other events, so it's certainly an option. We'd also have to think about security considerations especially if the building stays open past 10pm. Additional personnel would be necessary, and they come at a cost. Ruby (Student) What about a trial run? We could extend weekend hours for one month during the exam period. If attendance justifies it and staffing works out, we could think about making it a regular feature during high demand times. Olivia (Student) That's a good compromise. A trial period would give us solid numbers and feedback. We could even put up a suggestion box or short survey for students to weigh in on whether the extended hours helped them.
