Practice Speaking: Summarize Group Discussion
ID: #49697
Overcoming Stage Fear
Transcript:
Sophie: I have to give a presentation in class tomorrow and I'm seriously panicking. Just thinking about standing in front of everyone makes my stomach turn.
Ria: Totally normal, Sophie. Public speaking is one of the most common fears. But trust me you're going to be fine.
Chloe: Have you practiced it out loud yet? Sometimes just hearing yourself say the words builds confidence.
Sophie: I've read it in my head a bunch of times, but I haven't practiced out loud. I feel silly doing it.
Ria: Not silly at all. How about you practice in front of us right now? No pressure we'll just listen.
Chloe: And we'll give you gentle feedback, nothing harsh. Just tips to help you feel more comfortable.
Sophie: That actually might help. I just hate the idea of messing up in front of everyone.
Ria: You won't. And even if you stumble, people are more forgiving than you think.
Chloe: Plus, confidence isn't about being perfect it's about showing up and doing your best. Which you totally can.
Sophie: Okay. Let's give it a go. Thanks for being so supportive.
