Wind
Transcript:
Humans have been using wind power for hundreds of years in a variety of ways—for example, wind-driven mills and nautical sails on ships; these were some of the earliest forms of mechanical devices. But the expansion in wind energy has been unprecedented throughout the twenty-first century. We keep going back to wind as a power source because its benefits are so numerous: it is free, non-polluting and widely available. Although the increasing size of wind turbines and their placement on hillsides and coasts has prompted some people to complain about their impact on the landscape, they are and should continue to be a popular source of alternative energy.
