Practice Listening: Multiple Choice, Single Answer ID: #45662 Medium ACT
Instructions
So luckily for me, I haven't taken standardized tests in a very long time, but I did have to take two major standardized tests when I was in high school. So I had to take the ACT and the SAT. And the ACT stands for American College Testing, and the SAT stands for Scholastic Aptitude Test, I believe. So I had to take both of these tests when I was in my third year of high school, when I was a junior in high school. And those were both tests that I needed to take to apply to different universities. So I do remember taking them and being stressed out about the whole experience, but luckily I did well enough on them that I was accepted into a couple of different universities. And I went on to go to university. So those are the tests that I had to take when I was in high school at least. And I'm happy I didn't have to take any more than those two.

Why did the speaker sit for the mentioned standardized tests?
