Tropical storms have two types of effects. We can speak of the destructive effects, loss of coral erosion, all of the destruction that we are familiar with. Yeah, but we also have constructive processes. So, by breaking the coral, they are creating sediments and that sediment is then going to be moved by that storm or other storms to create land. OK, that's how we have some of those islands. And these destructive and constructive effects are different on the different parts of the reef, and today I'm just going to talk a bit of what happens to the waves when they arrive to the full reef. And this person groups. OK, so tropical storms are important for coral reefs because of the destructive and constructive events that I just mentioned, but also because they cooled down the water during the hottest months. And this is very important and it has prevented bleaching in the past.
