United Nations
Transcript:
The name “United Nations”, originally suggested by the North American president Franklin D. Roosevelt, was first used on January 1, 1942, when the representatives of 26 countries fighting against Italy, Germany, and Japan began cooperating in winning the Second World War. The signatories of the Declaration by United Nations also subscribed to a common program of purposes and principles embodied in an official document which visualized providing peace to all peoples, security from aggression, freedom to choose their own government, access on equal terms to the trade and raw materials of the world, improved labor standards, freedom from fear and want, and freedom of the seas.
