The main goal of anesthesiology is to ensure that the patient is as comfortable and as safe as possible during medical procedures. They also monitor the patient's vital signs and adjust anaesthesia doses as needed to maintain the patient's level of anaesthesia and ensure their safety. But most of our interactions with the field of medicine are a bit more pedestrian. The most common way we interact with the field of medicine is through our local general practitioners, also known as family doctors or primary care.
