Education pulls individuals out of poverty and makes businesses, economies, countries and the global market stronger. Every $1.00 spent on education 10 to $15 can be generated in economic growth. So where do we start? We need 4 million more classrooms. We need 2,000,000 more teachers so that every child and young adult is in school and learning, acquiring the right skill set to succeed in their lives. Urgent action is needed. Financing schemes, training programmes, teacher development and sharing resources are crucial. But most importantly, we need leaders who can drive this forward in the public and private.
