Practice Speaking: Re-tell lecture ID: #6093 Medium Employees R
Instructions
Employees can connect to each other anyway through mobile technology these days, therefore they don't need to spend two hours a day commuting to and from work anymore, instead they can work from home. But new technology hasn't led to employers giving up their offices completely, in fact few employers have changed their practises a tool and the office is still the place where most business people work. Recent research may explain why? It suggests that when employees do work from home, they often do activities which aren't work related, things like watching a film, playing video games, or ahh taking a nap and yet working from home can result in an employee being more productive. A second study reveals that workers at home actually produce a greater amount of work than their peers in the office, so companies could actually benefit from having more employees work from home. At a time when employees regularly check work email during breakfast and before they go to bed. Companies need to rethink their approach to where their employees work and become much more flexible.
