Western countries' birth rate is declining. The birth rate increased during the twentieth century, but it starts to decrease over these last two decades in the year 2000 as an example, the birth rate remained at around 1.1 per cent to 1.2 per cent. Birth rates dropped to its lowest point that is never seen in society; there are even some negative birth rates in other countries. The reason is that western countries' women are becoming more and more reluctant to give birth to babies, especially those young women under 30 years old. However, the male status in society remains strong as it ever has in recent years it also has an impact on the male in society especially young man, and it might have some connection with the unemployment rate as well.
