The final transformation occurs within the cocoon, where the caterpillar metamorphoses into a butterfly.
A fascinating journey begins with the butterfly laying eggs on the leaves of a host plant.
Upon emerging from the cocoon, the butterfly rests for a short period, allowing its wings to dry before it takes its first flight.
Following this, the eggs hatch into larvae, better known as caterpillars, which start feeding on the leaves immediately.
As the caterpillars grow, they eventually form a cocoon around themselves, entering the pupa stage.
