The graph illustrates the contrast between number of men and women pursuing further education either as main goal or as part time in different decades of late 20th century. Overall it was clear that number of women had gradually increased, more and more women had been showing intrest in higher education, it was true for both studying full time and part time.On other hand, number of men pursuing higher education as full time had declined overall but it had gradually increased for men studying part time same as females. In terms of men, the numbers were declining for those who were studying full time since 1970s to starting of 1990s but declince was not gradual, more men were studying full in 1990s than in 1980s, the numbers were around 850 to 860 and 830 to 840 respectively.Althought it was only true for men who were studying full time but not for men who studying part time, there numbers gradually increased from around 100 to 270 since 1970s to 1990s. By contrast, the story for both men and women working part time was almost exactly similar.But numbers for women studying part time gradually increased from 1970s to 1990s,it goes from 740 in 1970s to 820 in 1980s and crossing thousand(1100)in 1990s.
