In today's context, anthropology matters in indigenous studies and issues, in an era that advocates for colonising research. The terms of the relationship between anthropologists and indigenous communities and interlocutors have changed significantly, and nothing for the better. First, this relationship has become more egalitarian and reciprocal. Second, they allow or should allow for the expression of indigenous epistemologies, ontologies and temporalities within the research process. In other words, the decolonizing project seeks to reimagine and rearticulate power, change and knowledge, through a multiplicity of epistemologies, ontologies and axiologies. A collaborative research, as reciprocal research should aim at the decolonization of the relationship between the researcher and her interlocutors and should allow for a genuine dialogue between Western and indigenous epistemologies and ontologies.
