This is one of the probably a really early photograph of jellyfish, and it's one of the few ways that before about 1940 you could see them, you could study them, you could learn about them in this kind of setting. And as all of the talks have shown, this is the way we now know jellyfish. We know them through photography. More than almost anything else. And the other way of course is by sensation and like everyone, I was talking to my partner who's also from Limerick. We have quite an Irish contingent in our talks. And for me, my memories in Sydney are walking along the beaches as a girl and wanting to go in the water and not being able to because Richard Blue bottles were everywhere or you know, there was a squishing, nasty ones and they just looked like this one on the here just a BLOB and nothing. And this is also the problem that faced many historical biologists in the past because this is all you could get to study.
