Instructions
Feel like you read that those 3 words have so much power in them. I think that those 3 words really helped to define what everyone, you know, black folks across the globe were feeling.
When you read that. I think that it really, hence, at the Black Lives Matter stands juxtaposed to reality is that we know that the laws we know that society recognise that black lives don't matter. And that word became those 3 words became an affirmation that really helped us Orient how we were feeling. I also want to think that, like one of the around Trayvon, one of the great things was that for the first, you know, for the first time in a generation, really black folks were curating our own stories. We weren't really relying on traditional media to be able to tell our stories. And it's not like Trayvon was an anomaly. You know, black folks have been getting killed before. But you know the traditional pathways to getting justice was try to hit up your local and media stations, get them to at least publish the story, get that to go to the local lawmakers, etc. But social media as you mentioned becoming really a tool where we said we can, we can tell the world like black folks can be the one that says, hey, this is what's happening, this is what's happening unfiltered.
