Alicia Rhett was an actress who rose to international stardom in the 1939 film "Gone With the Wind". In the film, which enjoyed success and is among the most popular ever made, she played the part of India Wilkes, the serious young woman whose love for the dull and timid central character, Charles Hamilton, is spurned in favour of Scarlett O’Hara.
