Teachers  of  young  children  generally  use  a  wide  range  of  techniques  to  help  them  learn.  Younger  children  learn  especially  well  by  :  the  teacher  can  demonstrate  something  and  the  children  repeat  what  they  hear.  Songs  work  particularly  well  for  this.  Telling  stories  is  also  effective  with  this  age  group.  Children  of  this  age  generally  learn  well  .  Teachers  can  read  them  from  a  book  or  tell  a  story  they  have  .  If  books  are  chosen,  it  is  recommended  that  they  be  richly  illustrated  and  have  interesting  characters.
As  children  grow  older,  their  level  of  maturity    and  different  techniques  are  needed.  Older  children  need  to  develop  different  skills  such  as  probelm-solving  and    thinking.  Asking  the  children  to  work  in  groups  and  carry  out  tasks  collaboratively  also  helps  them  to  improve  their  communication  skills.
