Hi Sam,

I visited the seller of the dining table this morning so I could check it before we collect it. The wood is in good condition, and the marks in the advertisement are much less noticeable than they looked in the photos. I still think it will suit my apartment.

There is one complication. The seller recently moved the table upstairs while painting the ground floor, and the turn in the stairway is too narrow for the assembled table. He suggested lowering it over the balcony, but the railing and the garden below would make that awkward. I would rather remove the legs and carry the pieces down the stairs.

The seller has the correct tool, and he showed me where the bolts are hidden. I took a photo of each connection so we can put everything back in the right place. Could you bring the old blankets from your garage? They would protect the tabletop in your van and keep the loose legs from sliding into it.
