The issue of the use of artificial intelligence in education has become increasingly important in today's society. While some people believe that artificial intelligence reduces creativity of students, others argue that it is an excellent tool for learning. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting my own opinion.  On the one hand, supporters of the first view argue that the use of artificial intelligence by students is a way to avoid generating their own ideas. This is because artificial intelligence has advanced significantly in recent years, making it capable of performing almost any research or problen-solving task. For example, students use AI to complete their assignments without even understanding the topic of study. As a result, students may develop a weak understanding of the topic as they become over-dependent on AI and do not even try to complete assignments on their own.  On the other hand, I believe that AI is an excellent tool for learning. Firstly, students can save a lot of time by using AI, as it can complete a research task within seconds which otherwise would have taken hours. Furthermore, it can help students understand the topic in depth as it can act like a teacher that can answer student's question related to the research based on factual information. For instance, students can use AI to research the required content for their assignment by just sharing the topic with it and then select and organise the information according their needs. Consequently, artificial intelligence can be used as an excellent instrument for learning.  In conclusion, although both viewpoints have some merits, I believe that a regulated use of AI in education should be allowed because it can not only improve the way students study but also encourage them to think independently.
