Overview It is immediately apparent from the data that there was a suddent spike in number of people visiting around the year 2019 and then a sharp fall in year 2021. Main features In 2014, footfall started with more than 95,000 visitors and then the number gradually rose to 115,000 in 2018. In 2019, the town council agreed to make the town's main street a pedestrian-only zone and there was a sudden surge to more that 135,000 visitors. Then in 2021, there was sharp fall in footfall of more than 50,000 people and then it started growing gradually and in 2023 it was more than 95,000. As three new reataurant are planning to open in that area and new-look street will be ready by next summer it is prominent that footfall in town will increase sharply as people will get attracted to newly made street and restaurants. Conclusion To sum up, the data clearly indicates ups and downs in footfall during the period and a big change can influence a lot visitors. In future, the changes are going to help them in increasing footfall.
