I prefer Option A: the voting age should remain 18. In my opinion, people who are 18 are mature enough to understand social and political issues and make responsible choices. At the age of 18, young people are legally considered adults in many countries. They can work, pay taxes, make important personal decisions, and take responsibility for their actions. Therefore, they should also have the right to choose the leaders who make decisions affecting their education, employment, healthcare, and future. Moreover, allowing young adults to vote encourages them to become interested in politics and participate actively in society. Many 18-year-olds are well informed because they have easy access to news, educational resources, and political discussions through the internet and social media. Although some people believe that 18-year-olds may lack experience, maturity does not depend only on age. Older people can also make uninformed choices. Therefore, I believe 18 is an appropriate minimum voting age and should not be increased to 21.
